Candidates spend two days each week in an elementary school for an evaluated field experience. These placements are connected to the subject-specific courses taken as a part of the junior block. Candidates are expected to model and facilitate effective use of instructional technologies to address student needs and maximize student learning. Verification of successful completion of field component is required to pass this course. Prerequisites: Admission to the Division of Education (Gate 1), admission to Field Experience (Gate 2), ED 310. Concurrent registration in ED 322, ED 342, ED 345, ED 349. Offered spring semester. Two hours.

In addition to the field placement, an ED 350 seminar meets periodically throughout the semester to debrief experiences and highlight particular topics related to teaching.
