Course Description: NT 6000 - Biblical Interpretation and Hermeneutics is an introduction to the interpretation of the Bible that surveys the various types of writings (genres) found in the Bible and provides principles for studying, interpreting, and applying the Bible. Three hours masters credit.
An examination of the nature and the effects of culture, ethnicity, and cross-cultural differences on counseling theory and the therapeutic process. The Christian world view and its effect on the counseling process with multi-cultural clients will also be examined. Specific guidelines and detailed methods for counseling specific minority groups will be addressed. A series of case vignettes will be used to contrast the similarities and differences between specific minority groups
